With over 20 years of experience in coaching and teaching, and as a qualified sports scientist, swimming teacher and level 3 triathlon coach, I’ve helped athletes reach their full potential worldwide.

From being a lifeguard at 19 to racing in Ironman events, I’ve been where you are. In 2009, I weighed nearly 235 lb (107 kg) and fell in love with triathlon. Now, I’m here to help you, whether you’re a novice or a seasoned athlete.

Don’t worry, we’ll ease you in gently, and the longer the plan you choose, the more gradual the progression. So, no matter where you’re starting, we’ll help you grow your fitness over time.

Our plans cater to all levels, Β specifically for our beginner plans; all you need is the ability to swim for at least 5 minutes non-stop, cycle for about 30 minutes, and run for 15-20 minutes.

We know life can be a juggling act, especially when trying to fit training into a busy work week.

That’s why we carefully plan your training to strike the right balance between work and recovery. Our workouts are crafted to fit around your typical week, but we also give you the flexibility to move things around. With Premium TrainingPeaks, you can drag and drop workouts to different days.

Just a heads up, though – be mindful not to cram too many tough workouts into just a few days. We don’t want you feeling over-tired or risking injury. Your success is our priority, and we’re here to ensure your training complements your life, not complicates it!

Your weekly training hours will vary based on the event, your current level (beginner, intermediate, or advanced amateur), and the plan’s length (from 8 to 28 weeks). Every fourth week, we’ll give you an active recovery phase to keep you fit while letting your body rest. Want a sneak peek? You can preview the easiest and hardest weeks of each plan.

Absolutely! We know life doesn’t always follow a plan, so we’ve made it easy for you to shuffle a few days around or swap out a session for a group workout. And with TrainingPeaks Premium (from Β£9.92 per month), you can drag & drop workouts to different days. It’s all about making it work for you!

Each plan is carefully structured into different phases like the Prep Phase, Base Phase, Build Phase, and Peak Phase. Each one has a unique focus, ensuring you’ll be at your best for your big race.

Expect a mix of speed workouts, threshold sessions, aerobic endurance, and runs off-the-bike (for triathlon and duathlon). You’ll have pace, power, heart rate, and perceived exertion to gauge your intensity, along with specific Training Zones tailored for you.

We’re big believers in strength and conditioning. Consistent sessions (like 2 x 30-mins per week) will boost your balance, strength, and resilience. And guess what? Strength sessions are part of our premium plans.

You bet! We’ll start you off with some initial tests, and then every 4-8 weeks, you can track your progress. We’ll even show you how to use the results to set personalised training zones.

Your plan is all about gearing up for your target event. As you progress, the workouts become more event-focused, with race rehearsals to build confidence and skill. For triathlons, Expect open water swims and brick sessions (bike into the run). And don’t worry, we’ve got a taper period to ensure you’re fresh and ready to shine on race day.

As part of every plan we sell, we offer a free coach email support; if you have any training, racing, nutrition or kit questions, drop us a line, and we help you out. 

While we can’t personalise or analyse your training, we’re all ears for anything else related to your plan.

We get it, life happens! If you can’t train on a particular day, don’t sweat it. You can shuffle your sessions around or simply move on to the next one. If you’re under the weather, take a break until you’re feeling better. Remember, a missed session might just leave you feeling fresher for the next one!

Whether you’re all about the latest tech or prefer to keep things simple, our plans have got you covered. You can train by “feel” or use gadgets like a cycle power meter or GPS running watch to nail the right intensities. Want to take it up a notch? Export workouts to your Garmin or software like and follow along in real time.


Our plans are designed to get you in top shape for one main race, but we know that other races can boost your confidence and skills. We’ll guide you on how to weave multiple races into your training plan so you get the most out of your preparation. Just email us your questions and we can get you sorted!

Absolutely! While sticking to the plan is great, we’re all for group training. It’s fun, and it can push you to new heights. Feel free to swap in one or two group workouts a week; ensure you don’t overdo it, and you’ll be golden. If you are unsure about anything, let us know, and we can guide you!
